Assessment Procedure

    Preface
The term examination has come to be associated with stress and anxiety. The process of teaching and learning which is supposed to be meaningful for the student, loses its joy because of these negative connotations of examination. The larger context of education is to prepare futuristic citizens for a meaningful and productive life in a globalized society. There is dire need to strengthen the education system even more so in a plurastic society which addresses itself to a heterogeneous group. This calls for a functional and reliable system of School Based Evaluation. We need to look at the holistic assessment of a learner which also includes co-scholastic areas of Life Skills, Attitudes and Values, Sports and Games as well as Co-curricular activities. The CCE scheme aims at addressing this is a holistic manner.

    A: Classes I to X
The system of Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is followed, as per CBSE directives.

    B: Classes XI

    • For class XI there is a system of two assessments in the months of September and March respectively. Besides these examinations there are periodical tests which are conducted by the teachers in the class. The record of these tests is maintained by the teachers. For the results, the decision of the teachers and Principal is final and binding on parents and pupils. No student will be allowed to miss part or whole of these examinations and the decision of the Principal, regarding his/her promotion will be final.

    • Non–payment of school dues may debar a child from appearing in these examinations.

    • A student resorting to unfair means in any of these examinations will be dealt with seriously.
